Here we have the clock tower on Brothers College at Drew University. This is one of the iconic points on campus and the view through the cherry blossoms I found particularly reminiscent of my time there, and what I saw walking the campus when I likely should have been in class in that very building so many years back.
I sucked the blue from the sky for this photo, because it wasn't a very interesting blue, and once I had gone that far, you know, what's done is done. So i decided to go for the under-saturated look of life behind the vibrant pink of the blossoms and knots of the branches. To me, it represents what lies beyond, the unknown coming into some sort of focus, the risk that comes with patience, everything that my early university experience showcased for me.
